14th Annual Walk FAQs

What should I wear?

Comfortable walking shoes are a must. Do NOT wear new shoes. Break them in prior to the event. Also wear layered clothing that you can remove or add layers as you walk to be comfortable.

What if it rains on Walk day?

Due to forecast inclement weather, the walk will be held inside the DuBois Mall.

Will there be anyone to help me along the route if needed?

Certainly! There will be rest spots placed along the walk route and we will provide water and assistance if needed.

How long will it take to finish the entire route?

Most individuals can complete the walk within an hour, you are welcome to take your time or even continue walking after reaching you or your team’s goal.

Can my child and/or infant walk with me, even if they aren’t raising money?

Yes, but please be sure to inform the volunteer who registers you at the site that they are just walking with you and not collecting any money. Everyone who walks must sign a waiver form regardless.

Can I rollerblade/bike/scooter or skateboard?

No. This is a walk, runners are welcome to join.

Can someone who is unable to walk help?

Absolutely! The more the merrier. There are many jobs available to anyone that is wanting to help with the Walk.
