About Us

The Clearfield – Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team is dedicated to achieve our Mission to reduce the occurrence of suicide within our two county areas. The Team wants to achieve our Mission by promoting awareness and prevention by offering programs to the community at large. We want to be able to provide prevention, intervention, and postvention trainings to any and all groups from the faith based community to the business community. The Team wants to make suicide a topic we can freely talk about and not be in fear of. We want everyone to learn how to identify the person who may be suicidal and then know what to say to get them the help they so desperately need. Your participation adds strength to our efforts to advocate for solutions and combat stigma.

The Suicide Prevention Team is comprised of local community providers and individuals like you who are invested in accomplishing our Mission. If you would like to join our team, we encourage you to become involved by attending our meetings, which are always posted on our Home Page.

Clearfield Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team, Inc. is a non-profit organization.

All donations will help us continue education programs and to advocate for people with mental illnesses and their families.

The Clearfield – Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team has grants available to the community.

Grants and Services donated by Clearfield-Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team (CJSPT) are to be used to promote Prevention and Awareness in Clearfield Jefferson Counties. 

Please submit your grant application to the Grant Committee for consideration.  Email all applications to CJSPT2@gmail.com.  You may be contacted for clarification and / or more information.  Please provide your grant request at least 60 days prior to the date you need the funds. If not received within this timeframe your request will be returned.  CJSPT requires a Post Grant Event Summary completed within 30 days of event, page 2.

Clearfield Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team Scholarship Fund

Through the Clearfield Jefferson Suicide Prevention Team, this scholarship will be presented annually to two deserving seniors in Clearfield or Jefferson counties in the amount of $1,000. This scholarship is an effort to encourage those that are dedicated to helping with the prevention of suicide.

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

• Pursuit of a degree in the human services field
• Teacher recommendation
• Satisfying cumulative grade point average
• Evidence of volunteer work completed during high school years
• 1-2 page essay
